1965 Jaguar S-Type 3.8

The 1965 Jaguar S-Type 3.8 is powered by a Normal I6 engine that displaces 3778.86 cc. It produces 220.00 BHP at 5500.00 RPM and 240.00 Ft-Lbs at 3000.00 RPM. There is a 3 speed Automatic transmission. Jaguar S-type 3.8 litre version appeared with the 3.4 at the launch of the car in 1963. S-type new owed much to the Mk II is stable-mates as well as Mk X larger saloon from the same period. Jaguar S-type is intended for drivers looking for a little more advanced than the Mk II, the rear independent suspension car and different styling cues luxury car side characters are highlighted and play down the image a sporty Mk II. Version 3.8 s type provided sparkling performance (albeit not as fast as 3.8 Mk II due to the extra weight) and can reach a maximum of 125 mph.

Mechanically, the S-type followed Mark II, with a choice of engines 3.6 and 3.8 litres (2.4-liter engine was not available) and regular automatic gearbox option, Overdrive and power steering. Four-wheel disc brakes and front suspension is also the same as in the Mark II, but the new Jaguar sedan rear independent suspension small, such as is found on the E-type sports car and Mark X, the place of the wheel of life Mark II.

S-type car is for customers who want speed, comfort and style, in the car smaller than the Mark X, but without a picture blatantly sports Mark II. S-types, a heavier, slower though naturally with a top speed of 120 mph in 3.8 liter, but offers more interior comfort, boot space and a better ride than the older model. The difference between the two cars, and their prices, which is quite large for the Jaguars to keep both models in production. S-types are made in smaller amounts, with a car which was produced between 24,993 in 1963 and 1968.

S-type modified with front and rear body styling that is unique and includes a luxurious interior. Jaguar S-type stop producing in 1968 when his successor, 420, arrived. More than 30 years later, S-a new type of once again being sold by Coventry-based firm and bare a striking resemblance to the original Mk II and S-type.
